When dusk falls in wintery Salzburg, people start to gather in the vaulted Romanesque Hall at St. Peter's Monastery for heartwarming concerts.
A string quartet, chants, a solo violin and grand piano can be heard in the concert hall, romantically decorated for Christmas. The program features classical music by W.A. Mozart, F. Mendelssohn, J. Brahms, J. Haydn,  F. Chopin and others. Austrian Advent und Christmas songs are the concert highlights. A new program is offered each day, featuring internationally renowned musicians: performances of the highest order.
After the concert, let the afternoon Advent music put you in the Christmas mood. Stroll through wintery Salzburg and stop at Salzburg's famous Christmas market.

Humor is on the program for the afternoon concerts at the end of the year. Ring in the new year with Mozart & Strauss! Classical chamber music for string quartet by W.A. Mozart will let you reflect on the year gone by while popular waltzes and polkas by J. Strauss let you face the new year with optimism and good cheer.
