What started as a concept has become a program in the culture scene - in the truest sense of the word! The EUROPARK is Europe's first shopping center with its own art and culture center: the OVAL - the EUROPARK stage!
Whether music or cabaret, vaudeville, readings or movies: art & culture feel at home at the OVAL. Andreas Vitásek, Gerhard Muthspiel, Dana Gillespie, Sabina Hank, Willi Resetarits, the Querschläger, etc., etc. … they've all appeared at the OVAL, performing to capacity crowds. Up to 230 seats, state-of-the-art stage, sound and light engineering and the backdrop: a single Indian apple tree, adorning the OVAL's ceiling and walls - this stage is something special!
For cineastes
Although there's jazzing, rocking, singing & playing at the OVAL, movie buffs also get their due: in cooperation with DAS KINO, Salzburg's film culture center, movies for cineastes are shown each Wednesday starting at 7:30 p.m. Special movie treats are also available for children: children's films are shown Wednesdays and Fridays at 3:00 p.m. and Saturdays at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m.

After you finish shopping, help yourself to a serving of culture: the OVAL makes the impossible possible. An event venue at a shopping center. No searching for a parking space: you'll always find one in the well-lit and clearly arranged underground garage or up on the park deck. You aren't coming by car? Bus line 1 and the suburban railway stop right in front of the EUROPARK. Raschhofer and Casa Miguel are still open after the film's over for an after-movie drink. Try it out and see for yourself!
Unique in Europe: OVAL - the EUROPARK stage
The OVAL, the EUROPARK stage that opened in October 2005, has established itself as an attractive venue for concerts, theater, cabaret and cinema under Margret Stronegger's artistic direction. Over 200 performers appeared at the OVAL in 2006, including Beni Schmid, Martin Grubinger, Giorgio Conte, Michael Köhlmeyer, Julia Stemberger, Dana Gillespie, Willi Resetarits, Lukas Resetarits and Andreas Vitásek. With a total of 75 events, the OVAL also attracted a large number of EUROPARK shoppers.
Platform for cabaret, theater, music, film and vaudeville
The main focus will continue to be on a special genre mix in the future: jazz, classical music, boogie and folk are on the program as well as dance, theater and readings. Movie-goers get their money's worth each Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, thanks to a cooperation with DAS KINO. Of course the OVAL also welcomes clubs, demonstrated by the outstanding cooperation with SKUSI, the Musicum and the Mozarteum.
