Schauspielhaus Salzburg
Information
Events
Schauspielhaus Salzburg is the biggest free ensemble theater in Austria. Approx. ten theatre productions and one children's play per season are offered daily in two theater halls from September to the beginning of July. The carefully selected program for all theater buffs, young and old, is highly diversified, ranging from antiquity and classical to the modern age, from tragedies to comedies and new theater formats. An acting school and a publisher for children's musicals are also affiliated with the theater.
The theater is located in the Petersbrunnhof, a former estate owned by St. Peter's Monastery in Salzburg's Nonntal District, beneath the Fortress in the southern city center. The historic building that dates back to the Middle Ages was elaborately renovated by the state government several years ago and equipped with state-of-the-art theater equipment. The classic vault in the columned foyer not only serves as a break room but also as a wonderful venue for readings, art shows, exhibitions and all kinds of romantic celebrations.
Tickets:
Adults € 23.00 - with Salzburg Card € 19.00
Students € 13.00 - with Salzburg Card € 10.00
