The Hofbräu Kaltenhausen was established in 1475. It is not only the oldest brewery in the Province of Salzburg, it is also the oldest wheat beer brewery in Austria.

On the site of the brewery that is among the oldest in the German-speaking world, the consortium Brau Union developed a small brewery dedicated to creating exquisite special styles, the “Speciality Beer Manufactory”. It has also become a place where beer lovers meet and are given a first hand experience of beer culture in guided tours and seminars. Directly connected to the “Speciality Beer Manufactory”, the Hofbräu Kaltenhausen invites you to taste their special styles in a historical ambience.
