Innovation with Tradition

Salzburg’s history of brewing beer is more than 500 years old: It reflects a great love for enjoyment and a keen effort of procuring undisputed purity and quality. It has produced well-established beers and breweries of long-standing tradition. This in turn laid the foundation for the “young creatives” that have been enriching beer brewing in Salzburg over the last decades.

These days, the ten breweries in the regions in and around Salzburg are not only producing the finest beers but also know how to celebrate the enjoyment of beer drinking in multiple ways: by introducing modern production techniques, by offering exceptional beer experiences, new creative styles and speciality beers. Beer lovers and gourmets have the opportunity to learn more about their favourite drink in seminars, guided brewery tours, walking tours of the old town, or in beer sommelier courses.
