Farmers´Markets
Enjoy the hustle and bustle of Salzburg’s weekly farmers’ markets and choose from the local specialities and homemade treats. Some, like the green market (Grünmarkt) at “Universitätsplatz”, the “Schranne” at “Mirabellplatz” on Thursdays, or the farmer’s organic food market (Bio-Bauernmarkt) at “Kajetanerplatz” on Fridays have become long-standing institutions. Additionally, there are seasonal markets. For instance, the winegrowers’ market in spring, the “Sunny Summer Sale” at “Kapitelplatz”, the “Salzachgalerien” in the summer, or the “Rupertikirtag” (Ruperti Fair) in the autumn. At the end of November, the romantic christmas markets at the “Domplatz” and in “Hellbrunn” open their gates to the public.
