Information
During Mozart Year 2006, the oldest shop in the Festival City of Salzburg celebrates its own 350-year anniversary. Since its founding in 1656, the "Azwanger" has continued to serve as a grocery store, with its antiquated shelves lending their own delightfully nostalgic flavor.
The products available in this "Wine and Fancy Foods Shop" encompass an outstanding selection of the very best spirits (Rochelt, Guglhof, ...) and Austrian wines (such as Bründlmayr ...), handdipped chocolates (Zotter, Bachalm, Tiroler Edle and Fenkart), tempting jams (by Staud´s and Trausners Genuss-Werkstatt), fine vinegars and much more. Special alcohol highlights include 10- to 30-year-old whiskies, old Madeiras, fine champagnes and cognacs, as well as top wines from Italy (Sassicaia, for example) and France (Chateau Petrus).
Opening hours:
Monday - Friday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Saturday 9.30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Sun- and holidays 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. (During January & February closed on Sunday)
