Hidden behind one of the most elegant and historic storefronts on the Alter Markt is a lovingly preserved ladieswear establishment from the turn of the century. Andreas Steindl, who represents the fourth generation of his family to run this tradition-rich business, has made it his mission to preserve its unique interior.
From beautiful parquet flooring with inlay work that is quite unique, to wood panelling and exquisite lighting, to a jaunty wooden stairway climbing up to the 1st floor: Most of the furnishings, kept in their original Jugendstil form, date from great-grandfather’s time. Together with valuable carpets and elegant fabric wallpapers, it provides the perfect setting for high-quality ladies clothing.
