HANNA Trachten was established in 1952 by Johanna Kurz at the location of its parent company in Linzergasse 41. Hanna Kurz designed true-to-style trachten fashions for 55 years which she distributed together with her husband, Johann. Her son Johannes took over the company in 2007, adding a custom-tailoring studio for HANNA Trachten in the Bruderhof, where customers can have their personal HANNA dirndl made to measure.
The line of products is steadily expanded to feature "Salzburg apparel for the whole family." HANNA Trachten opened a new store at Goldgasse 6 in the summer of 2011 to be able to offer trachten fashions combining traditional and current fashion trends to customers on the left side of the Salzach.
