Heimatwerk Trachten
Information
Tracht fashions come in a variety of different styles and reflect the wearer's sense of national identity. Trachten have a certain emotional value and could not be more varied: historic Trachten are preserved by heritage societies, newer Trachten have become standard apparel in modern times. Good Trachten designers keep creating new ideas to reflect style and taste. The Salzburger Heimatwerk is a prime example: its diversified Trachten fashions are created from rich traditions with a touch of pulsating zeitgeist to lay the cornerstone for new traditions.
Salzburger Heimatwerk's bright and friendly store at Residenzplatz 9 has a colorful assortment of exquisite fabrics, elegant Trachten fashions, local handicrafts, exclusive home design and creative gift ideas. The Heimatwerk's own custom tailors produce only the very best Trachten fashions. Much of the diversity and vibrancy of Trachten in Salzburg is owed to the commitment and competence of the Salzburger Heimatwerk. It organizes one of the most famous events in Salzburg each year during the Advent season: Salzburg Advent Singing at the Large Festival Hall, in which Trachten play a leading role.
