Discover something new among the old! The open-air experience ... Find out all there is to know about the rural buildings and way of life in the Province of Salzburg from the 16th to the 20th century at Salzburg's Open-Air Museum, situated in the Untersberg Nature Preserve. A wonderful excursion destination close to the city of Salzburg featuring 100 farmhouses, barns, mills, craftsmen's cottages, alpine pastures, some dating back 500 years. Interesting permanent and special exhibits, a variety of events and handicraft demonstrations will guarantee that your visit to one of the largest attractions in the Salzburg vicinity is a memorable open-air experience.

March 24 - June 30: Tuesday-Sunday 9 am-6 pm* (Easter, Whitsun and April 30 also on Monday)
July, August: daily 9 am-6 pm*
September 1 - October 8: Tuesday-Sunday 9 am-6 pm*
October 9 - November 4: Tuesday-Sunday 9am -5pm*
December 26, 2012-January 6, 2013: daily 10 am-4 pm*
(houses closed - tours with horse drawn carriages, reduced admission fee)
*last entrance 1 hour before
