Contemporary music is and will continue to be a central component of the Dialoge Festival. Since 2005, this music festival has been a highlight of the concert calendar at the Mozarteum Foundation.
The Dialoge Festival was born during the Mozart Year 2006 celebrations. It mainly aims to appeal to audiences who are open to encounters with new as well as classical music. In doing so, it extends invitations to contemporary performers in the disciplines of music, dance, literature, the visual arts and film. The interdisciplinary program of Dialoge is an attempt to break up the traditional concert protocol and develop new, powerful listening scenarios.
On the one hand music is taken out into the city itself and, on the other, it is coupled with literature. Dialoge is also accompanied by an extraordinary film program.
