Salzburg Street Theatre
For 54 years, the Salzburg Street Theatre and its ensemble have been touring every year during the festival season, offering high-quality theater at free admission. In 2024 the Salzburg Street Theatre will play "Robin Hood or the Whole Speculative Truth of Sherwood Forrest".
The figure of Robin Hood has appeared in numerous tales and ballads since the 15th century: Whether as a dangerous highwayman of humble origins, a patriotic nobleman or a pioneer of social justice, none of this is historically proven. In the summer of 2024, the Salzburg Street Theatre play asks what it might have been like. Humorous characters, a poetic love story, lively music and a bit of philosophy make "Robin Hood or the Whole Speculative Truth of Sherwood Forrest" a unique experience for the whole family.
