Summerscene 2024 - network for theater and art projects
ohnetitel - network for theatre and art projects, Die Welt im Ganzen [The World at Large], Theatre
More than 100 years ago, Max Reinhardt had the idea of using the cathedral square in Salzburg as a theatre backdrop. ohnetitel takes up this idea for the Sommerszene 2024, albeit in a different location.
In St. Sebastian's cemetery, a table party is set up with 50 individual tables for two chairs each - the allegories from the original Jedermann play are represented by their contemporary counterparts from everyday life, people from Salzburg, with whom "everyone" can sit down for a personal conversation. The allegorical representation is thus given a variety of individual stories and faces of people who act in their own way and provide insight into their respective activities. As in the play, the core theme is the question of the right or appropriate life - against a background of transience. St Sebastian's Cemetery thus becomes a mirror of the city and a vibrant place for an overarching social dialogue.
The Salzburg collective ohnetitel sees itself as a network that realises projects between interfaces. From different art forms towards each other in new forms and formats: From large-scale theatre productions, neighbourhood projects, salon culture and chamber plays to installations, from a small core team to a large pool of performers.
