Our more than 300-year-old farm is located on top of the Rauchenbichl, a hill in the northern part of the town of Salzburg. The farm is full of tradition and history and has been operated by the Wörndl family since 1677. The farm does stock breeding and dairy farming and the majority of products are sold direct from the farm.
Since 1993 the farm has included an onsite restaurant, where you can get a taste of all our culinary specialties.
Since spring of 2002 the farm has featured a bed and breakfast inn with comfortable, modern and fully equipped guestrooms. The two upper floors were remodeled before the opening, using only the latest in high-quality materials.
The Rauchenbichl has a great view over the town of Salzburg, the Kapuzinerberg, the old "Hohensalzburg" fortress, and the Old Town of Salzburg.

Our comfortable guest rooms feature wooden furniture as well as larch-wood floors.
Our guest rooms are equipped with: Bathroom, restroom, hair dryer, phone, radio, television (SAT-TV), internet connection, desk.
Some rooms also have: balcony, minibar.
In the morning guests are treated to a complete breakfast including various specialties such as jams and cakes, milk, eggs, and meat from our own farm as well as fresh fruit and yoghurt.

Directions:
By car:
Coming from either one of the directions of the A1 motorway, take exit "Salzburg Nord" direction "Salzburg Zentrum". Make a right turn at the first traffic light to the driveway up to the Rauchenbichl.
By Train:
Directly in front of the Salzburg central train station there is a bus terminal and a taxi station. If you want to take the bus, hop on the number 3 direction "Itzling" and hop off at the last stop "Pflanzmann". This will take about 10 minutes and after a nice 10-minute walk you will reach our farm.
By Plane:
From the airport you can take a taxi or a rented car, take the motorway direction Vienna and exit at "Salzburg Nord" and take direction "Salzburg Zentrum". Make a right turn at the first traffic light to the driveway up to the Rauchenbichl.
If you prefer public transport, you can take bus number 2 from the airport to the main train station. Here you have to switch to bus number 3 direction "Itzling" and get off at last stop "Pflanzmann". All in all this will take about 37 minutes and after a nice 10-minute walk you reach will reach our farm.
