The successful collaboration between BODHI PROJECT and the Sommerszene continues this year. Chemical Joy focuses on the theme of youth.
The internationally renowned choreographer Lenio Kaklea has been engaged for the current commission. In this new stage work, five dancers from BODHI PROJECT set out to explore the theme of youth. We are surrounded by countless products aimed at and supposedly created for 'youth': Pop music, video clips, social media, fashion, electronic cigarettes, soft drinks, amusement parks, films, nightclubs and cultural events. There is an entire market that thrives on this and supposedly responds to what young people want. Together with the dancers, Lenio Kaklea develops a highly dynamic choreography that revolves around the question of what it means in today's world to look young, to be young, to identify with being young or not.
