Guidelines and limitations

Concert season

  • From the beginning of April (end of March – weather permitting) until the end of October
  • Monday to Thursday from 4 pm, Fridays from 2 pm, Saturdays – all day, Sundays from 1 pm

Choirs, musical ensembles and dance groups are permitted. Performances by marching bands in the Mirabell Gardens are only permitted under specific conditions, dependent upon the size and nature of the performance. Marching bands wishing to play in any other public places within the city, or in the old part of the town, must be approved by the city administration.

Maximum duration

  • 60 minutes + preparation + safety buffer
  • For this reason the online calendar only permits the booking of 2-hour blocks

Cost

Groups not staying in one of the city based hotels or in one of the surrounding towns (Anthering, Bergheim, Elixhausen, Elsbethen, Eugendorf, Grödig, Großgmain, Hallwang, Wals-Siezenheim) are liable to pay € 100,- per performance at Mirabell Gardens. The handling fee will be payable upon reservation and is non-refundable (includes liquid sunshine cancellations). We kindly ask groups staying in the city to hand in a valid hotel reservation confirmation of the group.

General guidelines

  • Once the venue has been booked and confirmed the sole means of bringing forward, postponing or cancelling a concert shall be via email addressed to tourist@salzburg.info
  • Public access to concerts is free of charge. There are no guarantees for members of the audience.
  • No voluntary donations may be requested or accepted by the ensemble or its representatives.
  • There is no roofing or cover. The venue is completely open air.
  • There is no alternative venue for bad weather.

  • All instructions given by the on-site organisation team must be followed without exception.

  • When selecting pieces of music and a musical style, please take into consideration the cultivated atmosphere of Mirabell Gardens and the interests of the residents and visiting tourists.

  • It is necessary to guarantee that your appointed group representative has read and accepted the above guidelines and limitations and is aware of his/her obligation to adhere to all instructions.

  • There are no immediate parking facilities available for buses at Mirabell Gardens. Please read the rules for buses.

  • Stages, music stands and instruments cannot be provided. If required - please contact:

  • Amplifiers are not allowed at Mirabell Gardens.

On request we can also include you in our event schedule. Please send concise details of your performance (max. 500 characters) to tourist@salzburg.info

Liability

Tourismus Salzburg GmbH shall accept no liability whatsoever for damage to, or loss of equipment, or for injury to participants.
