Accessibility Statement

This statement was created on June 17, 2025. The assessment of the website's compliance with the Web Accessibility Act implementing the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 was carried out in the form of an accessibility audit conducted by Wienfluss in accordance with WCAG 2.2 at conformity level AA in March 2025.

TSG Tourismus Salzburg GmbH endeavors to make its websites accessible in accordance with the Web Accessibility Act (WZG) as amended to implement Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of October 26, 2016, on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies (Official Journal L 327 of December 2, 2016, p. 1).

This accessibility statement applies to the websites https://www.salzburg.info/ and https://card-webshop.feratel.com/.

Status of compliance with requirements

This website is partially compliant with the guidelines for accessible web content due to the incompatibilities and exceptions outlined below. The underlying criteria are based on WCAG 2.2 Conformance Level AA or the equivalent European Standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:

a) Incompatibility with accessibility regulations

  • Not all images have meaningful alternative text. Some images are missing the alt attribute. Some decorative images are not hidden from assistive technologies. (WCAG success criterion 1.1.1 Non-text Content)
  • The pages do not have a consistent heading structure throughout, and lists are not always correctly marked up. (WCAG Success Criterion 1.3.1 Information and Relationships)
  • Several texts and controls (e.g., hotel booking, filters, text in the footer) do not have sufficient contrast. Text placed on images also does not have sufficient contrast in some places. (WCAG success criterion 1.4.3 Contrast – Minimum and 1.4.11 Non-text Elements Contrast)
  • Use of the page at 200% zoom is limited. There is no responsive design, which means that horizontal scrolling is necessary. In addition, content overlaps, making it more difficult to recognize and read. (WCAG Success Criterion 1.4.4 Change Text Size)
  • At 400% zoom, some content overlaps so much with other content that it cannot be used. In addition, some content is cut off and horizontal scrolling is necessary on some pages. (WCAG Success Criterion 1.4.10 Content Break)
  • Some elements, such as the mobile menu, image galleries, and filters for accommodation searches, cannot be operated using a keyboard. The Salzburg Card online ordering process also cannot be operated entirely using a keyboard. (WCAG success criterion 2.1.1 Keyboard operability)
  • The Salzburg Card online ordering process does not have a specific page title and is labeled in English. (WCAG success criterion 2.4.2 Provide page with title)
  • In several places, the focus order is not implemented correctly. For example, elements that are not visible are focused on with the keyboard. In modal windows, such as the cookie banner, travel booking, or the open gallery view, the focus does not remain in the modal window until the window is closed again. (WCAG success criterion 2.4.3 Focus order).
  • The focus styling is not sufficient in all browsers for the green and dark red buttons, in the calendar widget, the Salzburg Card online order, and some other controls. (WCAG success criterion 2.4.7 Keyboard focus visible)
  • The Salzburg Card online order form does not have language markup. (WCAG success criterion 3.1.1 Language of the page)
  • WAI ARIA markup is not used correctly in some cases. Tabs are not marked up correctly, and the aria-expanded attribute is not used correctly. Some form fields are missing accessible labels.
  • Not all form fields on the Salzburg Card online order form are correctly labeled for accessibility.
  • In addition, not all links and buttons are sufficiently labeled. Some of the delete, close, and remove buttons are labeled in English. (WCAG success criterion 1.3.1 Info and Relationships and 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value)
  • Error messages during the Salzburg Card online ordering process are not communicated to screen readers (WCAG success criterion 4.1.3 Status Messages).

We are working to correct these errors by the end of 2025. In addition, WCAG 2.2 conformance level AA is already being implemented.

b) Exceptions due to disproportionate burden

  • PDFs of print publications can be downloaded from the website. They are not fully accessible. Here, too, content is presented that is also summarized directly on the website. For newer publications, we strive to implement accessibility requirements. For older publications, the effort involved represents a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations.

c) This content does not fall within the scope of the applicable legal provisions

  • The videos made available on the platform are hosted and published on Youtube.com. Videos published before September 23, 2020, do not fall within the scope of application.
  • Third-party content, such as studies or presentation materials from external speakers, which are beyond our control, are exempt from Directive (EU) 2016/2102. No statement can be made regarding the compatibility of this third-party content with the accessibility regulations.
