Rockhouse Salzburg
Since its opening in 1993, Rockhouse Salzburg has established itself as one of the best and most popular music clubs in Europe. Internationally renowned live bands and newcomers bring a wide range of musical styles to Salzburg.
The house in Schallmooser Hauptstrasse was built in 1842 – the vaults in the concert hall and the Rockhouse Bar date from this time. Since 1993, the building has been the Rockhouse music club. Depending on the capacity, two stages are used: the larger one in the concert hall and a small club stage in the Rockhouse Bar.
The team's clear goal is to establish a grassroom venue, i.e. a club where local musicians get the kick-start they need. The rehearsal rooms and event series such as "Local Heroes" are exemplary in Salzburg. The year-round concert programme presents national and international stars from the genres of pop, rock, metal or blues.
Since the opening of the club, the Rockhouse has offered workshops in addition to the concert programme, including events for children and young people. The workshops are free of charge and are aimed at amateurs and professionals of all ages.
