after work: Balkan am Hof! Balkalito

Experience captivating Balkan sounds that blend classical and folk music. A quartet transforms Mozart, Bach, and original compositions into a rhythmic delight—wild, fresh, and full of energy.

Balkalito – the quartet featuring Nenad Mitić (clarinet), Ivan Trenev (accordion), Tobias Steinrück (double bass), and Luís Oliveira (percussion) – transforms classical music into an exhilarating journey of discovery.

Where Mozart meets Sliwowitz and Beethoven eats Ćevapčići, Balkan rhythms merge with classical tradition. The musicians interpret traditional folk music, newly arranged classics, and their own compositions with wild rhythms and creative arrangements. Brazil, the Balkans, and Austria converge in a bubbling mix that delights beyond clichés. A sound experience that invites dancing and makes classical music newly accessible – for all who wish to transcend the boundaries between genres.
