Allan Praskin is a prominent figure in contemporary jazz. Known for his distinctive phrasing on the alto saxophone, he combines swing, modern jazz, and avant-garde into a powerful sound. His playing reflects the Great American Songbook and encapsulates jazz knowledge of the 20th century. Living in Berlin, he performs with a high-caliber quartet: Oliver Kent on piano, Hans Strasser on bass, and Mario Gonzi on drums.
