As part of the 19th "Scottish Colours" tour, two folk duos come together, uniquely blending traditional and modern sounds. Paul McKenna, one of the most influential Scottish singer-songwriters of the present, captivates with his distinctive voice and lyrics that oscillate between melancholy and social reflection.
The duo April Verch & Cody Walters combines Canadian roots, American old-time, 50s country, as well as Scottish and Scandinavian folk elements into a vibrant synthesis. April Verch, one of the leading fiddlers in the old-time style and world champion in step dancing, enchants with virtuosic violin playing, clear vocals, and an energetic performance.
