ARKADENKULTUR #98: Machines Cry
The ARKADENKULTUR will once again offer high-caliber music from local artists in 2026. Every Sunday evening, one can wind down the weekend with live music in the magnificent Living Room in Salzburg Schallmoos.
With Machines Cry, an international sextet is formed, stemming from the Focusyear Band 24/25 at the Jazzcampus Basel. Selected by a jury led by Wolfgang Muthspiel and Sarah Chaksad, the band is now forging its own path. Six musicians from Austria, Sweden, Australia, Italy, France, and Denmark bring together diverse backgrounds – from Mozart to Monk, from Radiohead to contemporary European jazz. At the heart of it all is the communal play: listening, reacting, trusting.
