BaBa ZuLa – 30th Anniversary Concert
BaBa ZuLa celebrate 30 years of hypnotic sounds, political statements, and a unique mix of traditional music and modern electronics.
BaBa ZuLa, the iconic band from Istanbul, is celebrating its 30th anniversary with an exciting standing concert. Since its founding by Levent Akman and Murat Ertel, the band has shaped the Turkish psych-rock scene. On the occasion of the anniversary, the band will present highlights from three decades as well as new songs. The current lineup – Murat Ertel (vocals, E-Saz, theremin), Levent Akman (percussion, spoons), Esma Ertel (vocals, dance) and Ümit Adakale (darbuka, percussion) – creates a unique symbiosis of oriental sounds and psychedelic rock.
