Beethoven's Fifth Symphony for the Commemoration Year
In 2027, the anniversary of the death of the great German composer will be celebrated for the 200th time.
For the memorial year, the Philharmonic will perform its Egmont Overture as well as its 5th Symphony. In between, the orchestra together with Matthias Bartolomey will showcase the cello concerto of Beethoven's pupil Joseph Haydn, who was taught by the great master between 1792 and 1794.
