Carillon "Glockenspiel" tour
In the tower of the New Residence, you will find the Salzburg Glockenspiel. During a guided tour, you can view the 35 bells and enjoy a unique panoramic view of the city (in nice weather).

Under the helmet of the tower on the west side of the New Residence, you will find the Salzburg Carillon.
Since 1704, the carillon has been playing in Salzburg. Currently, it features about 40 musical pieces, of which 16 are attributed to Johann Michael Haydn. The pieces by father and son Mozart are arrangements from the 19th century.
