Charity concert
A special concert featuring the Mozarteum University Academy Orchestra and wind soloists. Enjoy classical masterpieces and support students in need – admission free, donations welcome.
The MOZClassic Benefit Concert combines musical diversity with social commitment: The Academy Orchestra of the University Mozarteum presents a program together with conducting students and wind soloists in support of the ÖH hardship fund. The focus is on the "Soloists' Quodlibet," a colorful compilation of individual movements from solo concertos – an exciting opportunity for the soloists to perform with the orchestra and for the conductors to gain experience. The selection ranges from flute and harp to oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and on to horn, trumpet, trombone, saxophone, and tuba. The concert spans a musical arc from Wolfgang Amadé Mozart through Louis Spohr and Richard Strauss to Ralph Vaughan Williams. All proceeds go to students in financial need.
