Wernfried Gappmayer and his band present their new program 'Hoibzeit,' which blends alpine sounds with North African influences. The eponymous album was created in Essaouira, Morocco, where the musicians collaborated with Gnawa musician Youness Paco on the recordings. His Gembri sounds and vocals lend the songs a special depth. The album's lyrics reflect on the transience of time and the significance of memories. Gappmayer is accompanied by long-time band members Markus Marageter (keyboard), Franz Trattner (drums), and Gernot Hauslauer (bass), who embody the ensemble's characteristic interplay. An evening of music that stands out through intercultural openness and musical diversity.
