Die Festung - Kaserne bis ins 20. Jahrhundert
The 950-year history of Hohensalzburg Fortress is often reduced to the medieval period, overlooking the fact that it was always used for military purposes until its tourist utilization in the 20th century. This special tour focuses primarily on the time after the Napoleonic Wars when Salzburg, through detours, became part of Austria and the fortress was used as a barracks and base for the Rainer Regiment.
