A stranger in his own kitchen, claiming to be at home—and his own wife agreeing with him. Josef experiences a surreal situation that makes him doubt his reality. Is he the victim of a mistake, or is there more to it? Manfred Schild’s award-winning comedy *Double Trouble*, recipient of the Austrian Comedy Prize Porcia 2025, satirizes the modern society’s obsession with self-optimization and challenges familiar truths with biting humor. Directed by Leila Müller and featuring set design by Nina Ball and costumes by Alexia Engl, the play is presented in the Studio of the Schauspielhaus Salzburg. A production that oscillates between absurdity and social critique, leaving the audience to reflect—and laugh.
