In Florian Köhnlein's work, processes of change, which he dissolves in a collage-like manner, take up a wide space. Symbolic of this approach, the exhibition presents two recurring thematic areas: Dance of Death and Marvelous Beings. He understands the Dance of Death as an allegorical round of life and death, in which lightheartedness and Memento Mori engage in a humorous connection. The different materiality of the animal motifs and their reduced color palette expand the aspect of dissolution and transience.
