Guided Tour of the Special Exhibition Mozart & 'Mozarts'
The special exhibition at the Mozart Residence offers a journey into Mozart iconography, uncovers forgery mysteries, and provides exciting insights into the history of portrait painting from the Baroque period to Historicism.
The Mozart Museums of the International Mozarteum Foundation house the world's largest collection of authentic portraits of the Mozart family. While these provide an accurate insight, sensational new discoveries have long circulated that suggest, at first glance, that they cannot be genuine Mozart images.
