Guinness Irish Christmas
A magical evening of Irish and Scottish folk music: harp sounds from Laoise Kelly, virtuosic fiddle music from Cassie & Maggie, and traditional tunes from the McGoldrick Family.
The 29th edition of the "Guinness Irish Christmas" is themed "Diaspora" and celebrates the cultural diversity of Irish and Celtic music with a program infused with female power. Laoise Kelly, a pioneer of the Irish harp, captivates as a soloist with technical brilliance and revolutionary sounds – her playing has been compared to that of Jimi Hendrix. The McGoldrick Family, consisting of Mike McGoldrick and his nieces, continues the musical traditions of their Irish ancestors who once emigrated to Manchester.
