To ensure that you can reach the Christmas market and the old town stress-free and in an environmentally friendly way, the city offers an extended public transport service during Advent (November 22 - December 23). This way, you can travel without traffic jams, without searching for parking, and with maximum comfort.
Your advantages at a glance
- Free public transport on Advent Saturdays: On all Advent Saturdays, you can travel for free on public transport within the city.
- Increased frequency of lines 1 and 3 on Saturday (every 7.5 minutes) and Sunday (every 10 minutes)
- Extended night service on lines 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 – perfect if you're out and about in the city for longer.
- Park & Ride: Line 8 takes you directly from the P+R lots Messe and Salzburg Süd to the old town every 15 minutes.
