INSTANT36 – Improvised Film Festival Short Film Screening with Award Ceremony
Experience the best short films produced in just 36 hours at the exciting screening with awards ceremony, judged by a professional jury and the audience.
INSTANT36 is an open freestyle film festival where participants produce a short film in just 36 hours. On the shooting weekend, October 17 and 18, 2026, participants will receive the theme and an object that must appear in the film via email. All film types, whether fiction, documentary, or animation, are welcome.
From all submitted entries, our pre-jury will select the >25 best films, which will be presented to the audience and the expert jury at the screening on November 7, 2026, in SZENE Salzburg
