Johann Sebastian Bach. Christmas Oratorio. Cantatas I-III

Experience Bach's masterpiece of the Christmas season with radiant music and touching depth. Cantatas I-III create festive and spiritual moments.

Johann Sebastian Bach's Christmas Oratorio, Cantatas I-III, will be presented in the Great Hall of the Mozarteum Foundation. The soloists Ekaterina Krasko (soprano), Alois Mühlbacher (alto), Virgil Hartinger (tenor), and Benjamin Sattlecker (bass) will perform with the Collegium Vocale Salzburg. The L'Orfeo Baroque Orchestra, conducted by Michi Gaigg, will accompany the performance. Bach's work portrays the Christmas season, beginning with the triumphant birth of Christ and ending with the first encounter with the newborn child. The cantatas combine baroque festivity with spiritual depth and make the message of Christmas tangible.
