Maypole raising, Salzburg Open Air Museum

Big maypole festival with traditional music band and the Großgmain farmers' wives.

The festivities begin at 1pm with the traditional raising of the maypole. From the opening of the museum in the morning, you can admire the skills of various craftsmen: Embroidering traditional waistcoats, wood turning, rake making and much more. On this day, the weaver at the Lärchenhof will also be working her loom and the wood oven in front of the Lärchenhof will be in operation. The farmers' wives of Großgmain spoil visitors with culinary delights and Salzburg beer is also on offer.
