For the eleventh time, the Salzburg Museum Weekend 2026 invites you to discover the exciting world of museums with free admission! Under the motto "Museum connects in a diverse world," numerous museums in the city and countryside of Salzburg will open their doors on May 17th and present a diverse special program.

The State Association of Salzburg Museums and Collections invites all museums in the state to participate with a special program in collaboration with the department of folk culture, cultural heritage, and museums of the state of Salzburg!

Free Public Transport to the Museum
A special highlight: On Saturday and Sunday, the “Car-Free Days” are back – take advantage of free access to all bus and train lines of the Salzburg public transport network throughout the entire state on these days!
