New Year's Eve & New Year's Concert - Memo Flora
A festive concert for the New Year featuring floral masterpieces by Mozart, Tchaikovsky, and Strauss, accompanied by Hayato Sumino and Alexander Sitkovetsky at the Mozarteum Salzburg.
The New Year's Eve concert in the Great Hall of the Mozarteum Foundation Salzburg invites you to a festive musical evening inspired by floral themes. The CAMERATA Salzburg will perform works such as Mozart's overture to the opera "The Gardener of Love", Tchaikovsky's "Waltz of the Flowers" from "The Nutcracker", and Johann Strauss' waltz "Roses from the South". The program is complemented by Lehár's waltz "Wild Roses" and Zeller's "If You Give Roses in Tyrol" in instrumental form. The Japanese pianist Hayato Sumino interprets a movement from Takashi Yoshimatsu's piano concerto "Memo Flora". The Russian violinist and conductor Alexander Sitkovetsky directs the concert and presents Ferdinand Ries' "The Golden Rose of Summer" with the musicians of the CAMERATA.
