Opening Reception: Saskia Nagy: Trigger a Feeling, Evoke a Memory

Hohensalzburg Fortress and kura-t kunstraum traklhaus invite you and your friends to an exhibition in the former Hödlmoser studio at Hohensalzburg Fortress (entrance next to the Reißzug building—material cable car).

The artist Saskia Nagy will be working there from September 9 to 20, 2026, and will be in the studio daily from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

A few years ago, during a studio residency in Paliano near Rome, I asked myself what
it means to leave one’s own mark on a place. As part of this exhibition, I would now like to turn this question on its head and explore what traces a place, an experience, or a journey leaves behind within oneself. The exhibition “Trigger a Feeling, Evoke a Memory” explores the interplay between memories and the passage of time, depicted as a blurred superimposition
of images.

Saskia Nagy (born in 1984 in Vienna) is a student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. After completing her studies, she moved to the city of Salzburg, where she now lives and works. In her artistic practice, she explores the memories inscribed in surfaces and structures.
