Public Masterclass with Kristian Bezuidenhout: Piano & Fortepiano
Experience a unique masterclass with renowned keyboard virtuoso Kristian Bezuidenhout. Discover historical and modern keyboard instruments at the Mozart:Forum – Admission free!
As part of the Mozart Forum, Kristian Bezuidenhout invites you to a public masterclass. As one of the most significant keyboard virtuosos of our time, he moves confidently between fortepiano, harpsichord, and modern piano. Born in South Africa and trained in Australia as well as at the Eastman School of Music, he now lives in London and is among the most sought-after interpreters of historical performance practice.
As a soloist and conductor from the instrument, he collaborates with leading ensembles such as the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, Les Arts Florissants, and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. His musical partners include renowned artists such as Isabelle Faust, Anne Sofie von Otter, and John Eliot Gardiner.
Particularly, his interpretations of Mozart are considered groundbreaking – among other things, through his award-winning complete recording of Mozart's piano works. The masterclass is aimed at students of historical keyboard instruments as well as modern piano and is dedicated to the tonal and stylistic diversity of the “clavier” in the sense of the 18th century.
