Rudi the Racing Pig
A turbulent family play based on the popular children's book: Rudi Rüssel (Rascal the Pig) conquers the stage with charm and chaos. A musical theater delight for young and old at the Salzburg State Theatre.
The Salzburg State Theatre presents the stage adaptation of Uwe Timm's children's book classic *Rudi the Racing Pig*. The Fröhlich family wins a pig at a raffle—but Rudi Rüssel presents them with a few problems: How do you hide a pig in a city apartment? And how can it be officially recognized as a house pig? Rudi wins over the family's hearts with his temperament and charm, even though he causes chaos, messes up scientific papers, and nibbles on the cake. When the family has to move out, they discover Rudi's talent as a racing pig. But can he hold his own against the long-time champion Klabautermann and Farmer Nieß? Christiane Silberhumer's production impresses with heartwarming scenes, an appealing set design by Michael Lindner, and captivating music by Katrin Schweiger. An entertaining afternoon at the theatre for both children and adults.
