The historic Salzburg Christmas market on Domplatz and Residenzplatz is one of the most beautiful and oldest Christmas markets in the world. Its unique location in the middle of the World Heritage Old Town of Salzburg, the traditional stalls and its long history make the Salzburg Christmas market something very special.

Traditional Christkindlmarkt with handcrafted products, Christmas market, traditional treats, and much more in front of the backdrop of Salzburg Cathedral. Extensive supporting program: choir performances, traditional tower blowing, appearances of the Christkind, traditional Perchten run, Nikolo and Krampus, nativity exhibition in the Residenzhof, sing along! Free choir singing, and much more.

Traditional Krampus and Perchten runs
• Krampus run: December 5, at 6.30 p.m.
• Nikolo and children's Krampus: December 6, at 3.30 p.m.
• Perchten run: December 21, 1st Rauhnacht, at 1.00 p.m.

December 31: from 10 a.m., the market stalls are open until at least 6 p.m., the gastronomy until 1 a.m.
