The running festival of the city of Mozart attracts young running enthusiasts from around 100 different nations to lively activity days in Salzburg. From May 16 to 23, 2027, the city of Mozart will showcase exciting challenges and transform athletic movement into unforgettable experiences in an authentic, innovative, and sustainable way.

A weekend full of highlights in the city of Mozart

The Salzburg Marathon offers a diverse program of events for running enthusiasts, families, visitors, and curious onlookers over three days. The centerpiece is the marathon day on Sunday, when thousands of runners from numerous nations run through the historic old town, past world-famous landmarks and along the Salzach.

The start and finish area is centrally located in the old town – with a view of the Hohensalzburg Fortress, not only the participants experience an emotional finale, but also the spectators enjoy a special atmosphere. Along the course, music groups, fan zones, and refreshment stations create a lively atmosphere and provide good supply. In addition, the Sport Mall in the EisArena Salzburg invites everyone to discover and participate in sports activities.
