Salzburg Museum Weekend at the Mozart Residence

For the eleventh time, the Salzburg Museum Weekend 2026 invites you to explore the exciting world of museums with free admission!


10, 11 & 14 o'clock:
Guided tours of the Mozart residence and the Magic Flute House, all age groups
Mozart's legendary Magic Flute House has found its home in the courtyard of Mozart's residence. According to an anecdote, Mozart composed parts of his beloved Magic Flute in this house and also met here with singers.

1 o'clock:
A musical presentation in the Dance Master Hall of the Mozart Residence Fate Year 1791 – from moments of glory and great successes to Mozart's tragic death: For W.A. Mozart, the year 1791 was so much more than just The Magic Flute. Which compositions are also from this year? How and where did Mozart live at that time? What motivated him? Two female singers, accompanied on Mozart's original concert piano, will lead into his life and work in 1791.
