Salzburg Tightrope Dance School 1955-2022
The native Hamburger Sielke Scheidt founded the "Institute for Education through Dance and Music," her "Salzburg Play Dance School," in 1955 in Salzburg. With her new approach to teaching dance, she quickly motivated a large number of ballet enthusiasts. Together with her daughter Lacerta, she developed the play dance school into a unique Salzburg institution for young and old.
The exhibition creates a colorful arc from the history of the Salzburg Play Dance School to the lives of the two directors and their largely unknown artistic creations: the paintings of Sielke Scheidt and the poetry of her daughter Lacerta.
