Sisters of Comedy
Laughter, reflection, and doing good: Cabaret artists from Austria and Germany inspire with sharp humor for women's rights. An evening against sexism with a fundraising campaign.
“Sisters of Comedy 2026” is a humorous event by women for women, uniting various genres such as cabaret, comedy, musical cabaret, poetry slam, and improvisational theater. The show makes a statement against sexism and violence against women and has taken place annually in Salzburg since 2021. Under the patronage of the Women's Office Salzburg and with Christine Teichmann as the patron and moderator, Sonja Pikart (winner of the Salzburger Stier award), Suse Lichtenberger, Magda Leeb (improvisation talent), and Christina Kiesler (Austrian cabaret award winner 2024) present socially critical and entertaining contributions. The ticket price remains deliberately low, as donations are collected for the women's association Frauentreffpunkt to support women in difficult life situations.
