The FACTORY Free Art Space – free, subcultural and experimental art, DIY culture & underground in Salzburg.
From July 16 to 26, 2026, the vacant City Center, located in close proximity to the Salzburg main train station, will once again become a temporary place where The FACTORY – Free Art Space makes visible what is often overlooked in the established cultural scene: free, subcultural and experimental art, open processes, work-in-progress works, DIY culture, underground, inclusion, accessibility, and collaborative design.

For eleven days, the project opens up free artistic practice and the meeting of diverse forms of expression — with a full program. From exhibitions to performances and workshops to talks, spontaneous actions, jams, encounters, experimentation, movie screenings, tattoo art, live merch printing, skate culture, and open formats — a lot is coming together here.

The changing program runs daily from 1:00 p.m. until the late evening hours, depending on the event.
The exhibition can be visited daily from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
