Toy Museum
The Toy Museum invites you into the world of toys and play. In addition to marvelling at the historic exhibits, young visitors can get active themselves and try out lots of different toys.
The three central themes of play, experience, and amazement are prominent at the Toy Museum. The ground floor offers plenty of space for playing and romping around, featuring countless marble runs, various balance games, and the giant Matador. The museum puppet, who performs weekly in the in-house theater, is also a favorite.
Lots of teddy bears, the toy store, and many different doll kitchens make children's hearts soar in the first floor. On the Carrera track, both young and old can measure their driving skills in direct comparison. Other highlights of the museum include the maze, various miniature toys, and a special baby area for the littlest ones.
The exhibition "Bookworm and Reading Rat" invites you on a whimsical journey into the world of children's books. It is aimed at children of preschool and elementary school age, as well as adults who want to rediscover their favorite books from the past. In cozy reading corners, children can browse through classics and new picture books, discover favorite stories, and let themselves be taken away into fantastic worlds. Always along for the ride are the two titular characters, Bookworm and Reading Rat.
