Once a year, churches throughout Salzburg open their doors for a special experience: the Long Night of the Churches. This event invites visitors of all generations to explore sacred spaces in atmospheric light and with a varied program.
Long Night of the Churches
Numerous churches in the city and province of Salzburg participate in the Long Night of the Churches with a varied program - from organ and choir concerts to readings, exhibitions and discussions, meditative offerings and guided tours through otherwise closed rooms.
Whether spiritual, cultural or simply curious, guests and locals of all ages are invited to experience the special atmosphere of the night and get to know the diversity of church life.
Admission is free, and the program is designed to appeal to a wide audience - from families with children to culturally interested night owls.
